3. Cloves:

Cloves assist inefficient functioning of insulin. With the help of this spice, your body will need less insulin to drive the sugar into the body cells. Studies suggest that cloves help in lowering the blood sugar level in people with type 2 diabetes that develops due to insulin resistance.[3]

How To Take

Gently suck and chew a clove bud after a meal. You can even steep clove buds with your regular tea. You can take about one to three grams of cloves daily to keep your blood sugar level under control.

4. Turmeric:

Turmeric, the yellow-colored spice, widely used in Indian cuisines as a natural coloring agent is also known for its health benefits. Curcumin, the main bioactive constituent of turmeric, is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that seem to help in lowering the high blood sugar level. Take four to five grams of turmeric powder with water or honey twice a day.
